Standard obstetric care includes:

10-minute consultation checks for medical checks, information and planning of follow-up appointments
An average of 13 checks during the pregnancy
Three standard echoes at 10, 13 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, with additional ultrasound scans if medically necessary
Assistance with home or outpatient deliveries
Three maternity visits in the first week after delivery
A follow-up check six weeks after delivery, for mothers who gave birth at home or in an outpatient setting

Obstetric care by Midwives Dronten offers many extras such as:

Longer consultation hours of 20 – 30 minutes, including extensive conversations and medical checks, without this compromising your time with the midwife
Free heart consultation hour
Direct contact with your Midwife, no assistant. This way you never have to tell your story twice and you will always receive help quickly.
Language support for international clients: English, German, Italian and Spanish
Obstetric patient information available in 22 languages
If desired, help with registration maternity care
An increase to an average of 15 checks, plus the option for additional checks as needed
An extra early ultrasound at 7 weeks, offered free of charge, in addition to the standard ultrasounds and 4 extra growth ultrasounds with our pampering package, also without medical indication
Extensive childbirth support options, including some medical situations normally handled by the hospital
Four maternity visits, for even more support at home after the birth
Follow-up check after six weeks, regardless of the type of delivery

It was also great to know that we could have our appointments in English (English speaking mother and Dutch speaking father).Each interaction from the first appointment to the last was warm, welcoming, and we always felt that they had time for us and for our questions, as well as being comforting when needed. As a couple who had to go through the long and difficult process of IVF, this felt even more important to us. It was great to see that any concerns they had were quickly acted upon. We did not feel like part of a conveyor belt service.The day of the birth was a very positive experience for us. They were quick to visit and provide guidance at home once the waters broke, and once we were in advice labor, they arrived quickly to ensure a quick and safe birth. The immediate aftercare of mum was amazing. Taking quick steps to ensure everything was under control in a calm and controlled manner, we felt mum and baby were well looked after. Dad felt secure with the birth as well.Should we ever be lucky enough to go through another pregnancy, we would only ever wish to be cared for by midwives Dronten again.

Super nice practice with super nice people! I changed practices during my pregnancy due to a move and I was received very nicely here. They take their time for you and listen carefully to your wishes. They always try to take this into account, which gives a nice and familiar feeling. Good care and involved guidance!I had a very nice experience at Verloskundige Praktijk Dronten. From the start I was warmly welcomed and felt heard and taken seriously. If you meet a different midwife the next time, she knows exactly what was discussed before. In January I came into contact with this practice for the first time. During the information evening, it felt so good that I registered immediately. Since the beginning of my pregnancy I have received the sweetest and best care from the ladies at Midwife Dronten. At the beginning of my pregnancy I had many concerns about the health of my baby and I was always allowed to come by after a phone call to listen to the heartbeat, which gave me peace of mind. In a short time there were a number of new colleagues, which took some getting used to, despite this the care was just as warm. I was nervous about who would be present at the birth, but because I ultimately had a medical birth, unfortunately no midwife from the practice could be present. I would like to sincerely thank all the ladies for all the care and love and in particular Sanne who has been very involved since the beginning of my pregnancy and has always done her best in different situations. Also Anna, who accompanied me to the hospital until the last moment and gave me a sense of security before the hospital took over the delivery.
