Consultation office: checks and vaccinations

About two weeks after the birth of your child, the nurse from the child health clinic will come to your home to meet you. She brings information material and explains what you can expect. She also asks about your family history, the course of your pregnancy and the delivery. She will record information about this in your child's file. Family history and the course of pregnancy and delivery are important for the further development of your child. Of course you also have every opportunity to ask questions.

If it is necessary, for example because your baby is not drinking well enough or is not growing well enough, we can agree that the nurse from the clinic will visit you earlier. Usually this is one or a few days after we receive it maternity have closed. She then takes over the care from us and monitors the further progress of, for example, growth and feeding.

Visits to the clinic

After the home visit you will receive an invitation to come to the consultation office. In the first 4 years of your child's life, you will be invited 12 times. It can sometimes be more and sometimes less, depending on the situation. Your child will be offered vaccinations here, but it is not mandatory to use the child health clinic and/or the vaccination program.

Do you have a question in between? You can always go to the walk-in consultation hours. During the walk-in consultation, your child's growth will be closely monitored by weighing and measuring your child. Of course you can also ask all your questions.
